The final count down ... End of day 2

Murphy did visit us last night. It must have been not long after I wrote that everything was fine.
During the restore of a large database file I got an IRPStackSize message.
This error was caused by simultaneous copying large transaction log files to the same server where I restored the database file.
So the server had to be rebooted after increasing the IRPStackSize in the registry and the restore had to be redone. I lost about 6 precious hours.
By now everything is back on track. Hope Murphy stays home in the next couple of days.
